Bookmate is an ebook and audiobook service that’s available globally. In addition to a free public domain catalogue, we also offer Book, Audiobook and Premium subscriptions, which give partial and complete access to our ebook and audiobook catalogues. These services are renewable on an annual or monthly basis, for a fixed monthly fee.
Renewal charges are automatically debited at least 24 hours prior to the end of the previous period. However, readers can manage their subscription package and choose to switch off the auto-renewal option in their Account Settings.
If a reader is on a free trial and chooses to purchase a subscription during that time, they forfeit any unused portion of the free trial period.

Using it for over a year. Not one complaint. Perfect app for reading!
I was able to find literally any book I wanted. Simple, intuitive interface. Wry well made.
2 weaknesses Id still mention:
- no iPad support. Surely, would it take so long to port to iPad from iPhone?
- translated books miss words, punctuation, and often not really well made. I dont know whether all books were scanned and then recognized or something, but they should so a better job qa-ing the content.
Very nice reading app! At first I was a little bit sceptical, but just purchased subscription and now reading 3-4 books a month for like 10 bucks. Thats awesome! Also love cross device thing when I can read at public transit on iPhone and then continue on iPad at home from the same place. 5 stars, not a star less. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
This app is incredibly useful and simply to use. The intuitive interface helps to have a pleasure while youre reading a book.
Pretty good selection of popular titles and authors. would be good to have more books in English. There needs to be a traditional style menu to browse books, organized by subject, then sub themes. Reading lists and a search only is awkward. Everything else is fine.
Some bad moments
This app is great for those who love to read but dont have space for books. Im actually growing to enjoy reading on my phone, very efficient, and there is a great selection of books to chose from! I do wish there was a highlight option where you could save quotes to a folder.
App does not open on iphone 6+. Using i believe iOs 8. FYI.
The concept is noble though.

Basically, for a small monthly fee you have access to a large number of interesting books which are not available on other subscription services. The service is multilingual, and includes travel guides, automotive histories, fiction and nonfiction in great variety.
If you know Russian, the service is especially good, but if you dont read Russian (or other languages other than English) there are still a vast number of books which will satisfy almost anyone.
I have Amazon Prime, but this service has an awful lot that is not found on that service, and which I enjoy. Overall, highly recommended if you are a reader looking for new books.
For example, I was able to find a Robert B. Parker novel, a history of the Mazda automobile, and a tour guide to Vietnam Laos & Cambodia, not the the sort of things that you would expect on a subscription service. If youre really into books I would recommend the premium service, since the variety there is great.
User-friendly interface, easy to use. Works just as expected.
I love this app. I really do. Lots of new and old books, perfect lists with recommendations.
